We spent the bulk of December actively “nesting”. And it was some pretty heavy duty nesting at that. We turned ourselves into little HGTV do-it-yourselfers and converted the guest bedroom into the girls’ room… something we promised ourselves we’d do all summer.

It was a labor of love with wrong paint choices (that dark grey wall was supposed to be a naval blue and somehow we had a mixup at the paint store – love a happy accident), large scale furniture that was assembled with a single Allen wrench, and a free form gallery wall hung without a level ruler (yes there are a few extra holes in that back wall ha).

And in the end, it turned out exactly as I had hoped… a little kingdom for my two little sweets to dwell in.
